VBAC is often a subject of interest for me, and I love to support women through their births, so when I find a story about VBAC, or even about supporting a mom through labor I can’t resist the read, however, this story is one of the best I’ve read in awhile. I’m still recovering from the dramatic emotional peaks in her writing. This is a story of true birth success! Scary things can happen, but a good care team can handle even scary moments, and still help you to achieve the birth you hope to have.

My name is Samantha Mehaffey, I'm a wife and a mother of four. My husband served in the Military for 8 years and during that time I birthed two of my five children and served a few people as a volunteer doula, now he is working in the civilian world and we've added a third and fourth and fifth child (all born at home) and I've increased my business and gotten certified through DONA, and now I’m working toward becoming a midwife. I LOVE this job almost as much as I love raising my children. Bringing babies into the world through prayer and helpful relaxation techniques is the best feeling in the world!
