Even though birth is my thing there are a few parts of it that the terms always leave me wondering ‘what does that mean?’… One of those things is position. I’ve been through the classes with the teacher showing me the doll and the pelvic model and listing off the names of the different positions but I rarely walk away or even last five minutes before forgetting which was which.
I just found a website that explains this pretty well, and I think I’ve got it… we’ll see come friday when I teach in in my class! The pictures leave me wishing for a better artist, but they show perfectly the point of the author. Over all I’m glad I found the site, I am fairly confident that I will be able to remember what anterior and posterior, transverse and oblique mean now.
