I had a meeting today with Angela from Maternal Infant Health (I hope I have the name of that right) they work along side WIC in educating and checking in on women who are pregnant in our community, and I was informed that it may be possible for pregnant women interested in taking the childbirth education classes I offer to do so at no cost to them! This is the most exciting news I’ve gotten in a long time! If we can actually work this out it will open up my services to a variety of women who are otherwise at a pretty high risk of high intervention births simply because of their financial status in our society. (Sorry ladies, but statistically those who have low income end up with higher intervention births)
I can’t wait to see some more women showing up for these classes!
