Another doula I know posted a picture and blog written by a woman who didn’t enjoy her birth, or rather was forced to experience a birth that was less than ideal. Here are her words, I would like to encourage all women to find their words on matters like this. I only recently wrote a letter to the hospital where my daughter was born by c-section, I never heard back from them, but I found my words too.

My name is Samantha Mehaffey, I'm a wife and a mother of five. My husband served in the Military for 8 years and during that time I birthed two of my five children and served a few people as a volunteer doula, now he is working in the civilian world and we've added a third and fourth and fifth child (all born at home). I've increased my business and I've become a licensed midwife in the state of Michigan. I LOVE this job almost as much as I love raising my children.
