Your Cherished Birth is now offering childbirth education classes!
This will be a four-week course, each class will be 1 to 1.5 hours long, and will cover a variety of things that should be helpful to new parents!
Topics that will be covered include the basics of labor and delivery, pain coping methods, breastfeeding, nutrition, and car seat safety.
In preparation for teaching this class I have attended the hospital offered class, and though I was actually very pleased with what was discussed, I feel it is an advantage to both the hospital and to my own business if women in this area have more choices for their birth services. In the classes I will be offering I hope to have a lot of participation, and fun! We will discuss what YOU feel is important for your birth, and what will happen during your labor, the risks and benefits of all sorts of medical interventions (i,e. induction, epidural, c-sections and many others), and we will also talk about things you will want to know before going home with your baby, such has how to put them in a correctly installed car seat, and how to know if your breastfeeding latch is a good one.
I’m VERY excited to be offering this class to all the women in this area. Please share this information with anyone you meet who could benefit by attending.
